Crop Marks Design Studio was founded in 1994 by Stephen Smith, the firm’s President and Creative Director, as an entrepreneurial effort to build a business while gaining work experience with advertising agencies. Years of persistence, dedication and infectious work ethics, has enabled him to build a thriving business consisting of a strong client base that has been working with the company for several years – many of which are still active today. These long lasting relationships have been integral to our growth, with continued business as well as having the privilege of being referred to their colleagues, developing an extended client base.

With fourteen years of experience as an Art Director and Creative Director with a few of New Hampshire’s award-winning advertising agencies, Stephen has obtained the creative and business skills necessary to develop a creative design business – one that’s well respected in the business community. His creative work has been recognized by the Ad Club of New Hampshire, NH Internet Awards, American Graphic Design Awards Committee and the New Hampshire Graphic Arts Association.

Stephen received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Plymouth State College. Having formal teachings in design and art, combined with ad agency expertise gives Stephen the invaluable knowledge essential to the success of any business.
